Our driving range provides an opportunity for non-members and novice players to improve their game or for members and regular golfers to keep their game ticking over while winter conditions restrict activity on the course.
High quality Srixon practice golf balls, spacious bays, ample parking and a welcoming cafeteria make Canterbury Driving Range the best in the area.
The friendly, well-run cafeteria offers a range of foods and refreshments, including all-day breakfasts, jacket potatoes, omelettes, chips, rolls and cakes.
The range is open 8am to 8pm throughout the week and 7am to 5pm at weekends.

THE CANTERBURY GOLF ACADEMY
Our Approach
Our approach is founded on the principle that we are all individuals with unlimited and unique potential. We understand that peoples aspirations and goals for golf can be very different, this is why we offer integrated programs tailored to the individual that aim to increase enjoyment, performance and individual development helping you fulfil your potential. Looking at each individual as a unique person helps us develop programs that cater for different learning styles, physical strengths and limitations, time constraints, personal goals and emotional differences.
We coach players of all different skill levels, from beginners to elite amateurs and have developed a unique approach to instruction that is not bogged down in club angles, arm positions, and swings thoughts so complex they would make the average persons brain fry before a club is even swung. In fact we see the technical side of the game as just one of six elements that must be integrated for golfers to play their best.
We are complete game coaches with a strong belief that the Technical, Physical, Mental, Emotional, Social, and Love of the game elements must be integrated in order for golfers to fulfil their potential.
We acknowledge that bad shots are caused by bad swings but by putting the person at the centre of everything we do we work hard to identify which element(s) cause those bad swings.
We understand that in golf as in life some things can seem impossible - getting started, hitting two good shots in a row, making a swing change, winning a tournament or simply having more fun, so we develop processes that ensure that achieving the impossible is simply a case of the stringing together of the possible.
