Canterbury Golf Club

East Kent Alliance

The competition was initiated by Canterbury members Phil Cryer and Paul Blake as a winter league competition for East Kent Golf Clubs. It was inaugurated in the 1983/84 season and Canterbury have secured the title on five occasions.

As many as 18 clubs compete every winter from October to March. Three pairs from each club play four-ball betterball at six of the member clubs' courses. The best two scores from the three pairs count towards the club's score on the day. Prizes are awarded for each meeting and the best cumulative total determines the placings for the season.
