Junior Open Rules

A Junior Mixed Qualifying 95% Handicap Medal Competition open to entry group All Junior Members & Visitors on Tuesday 25th August played on the Canterbury course from the White & Red tees. White tees Boys Index handicap limit 24 Red tees Girls Index handicap limit 30 1. Competitors must be under 18 years of age on the 1st January 2026. They must be a Member of an affiliated Club. They must hold an active WHS Club Handicap. 2. The Canterbury Junior Open is awarded to the player with the best scratch 18 hole medal score. In the event of a tie, the result will be determined by count back 3. Scratch and Nett prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place 4. Best back 9 & best front 9 prizes outside of main prizes & Spot prizes. 5. If you require a practice round the fee will be £10, please contact the Professional on 01227 453532 to arrange a tee time. 6. Numbers may be restricted. The closing date for entries is 10th August 2026. Payment on entry. No refunds after this date. Entrants will receive notification of starting times by email, 7. The entry is £35; this includes a BBQ after the competition for which golfing attire is acceptable, however shoes must be changed. Please note: NO CADDIES will be allowed and all spectators must remain more over 100 yards away from play.
